Amity Has A New Selectmen

Joseph Ledger retired after 29 years of service to the town as selectman. He was congratulated and presented with a certificate of service. Several citizens commented on Joey's commitment to the town during his tenure.

Edward Estabrook was elected in his place for a three year term. Amity Matters would like to welcome Ed to this position and look forward to working with the selectmen in the future.
With no one else expressing an interest in the school board position Gordon Ledger stayed on as school board member..

All other articles passed with the exception of Article #22 which was passed with the following amendment.

 

Art. #22.                To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate from Revenue Sharing $4,045.60 for the following organizations for the ensuing year.
